US Fire Pump, the world’s premier industrial emergency response team based in Holden, Louisiana, was deployed to support firefighting efforts during a large-scale industrial fire in Rockton, Illinois. The incident, which broke out in the early morning hours of Monday, June 15, 2021, prompted a rapid response from the US Fire Pump team.

In total, 27 Industrial Firefighting Specialists were dispatched to the site, along with a robust arsenal of specialized equipment. This included submersible pumps, high-velocity pumps, water monitors, firefighting agents, and more than 10,000 feet of large-diameter hose to bolster local suppression efforts.

“First, I want to thank Fire Chief Kirk Wilson of Rockton for his leadership and coordination during this event,” said Chris Ferrara, President and CEO of US Fire Pump.

“Our teams have been focused on setting up equipment and positioning personnel to begin extinguishing operations. Equally important, we’ve deployed earth-moving equipment to trench the area and reduce the risk of hazardous runoff into the Rock River.”
