The US Fire Pump 5k Monitor Trailer is designed for maximum protection of personnel and assets during firefighting operations. The trailer delivers up to 5,000 GPM (19,000 Lpm)1 of water/foam solution for fire suppression, cooling operations, vapor suppression, and more. This unit is self-educting, making it the largest volume foam educting nozzle on the market, with the greatest expansion!
The 5k Monitor Trailer has GVWR of 5,000 pounds provided in a single-axle configuration.
Heavy-duty GRP mesh decking covers the deck surface, delivering a durable, non-slip platform for safe deck gun operation. An isophthalic polyester resin system insures a high level of corrosion and impact resistance necessary in applications such as chemical and water/wastewater processing. The material is electrically nonconductive and requires low maintenance cleaning easily achieved with a pressure washer.
The trailer frame rails are fabricated from structural channel with steel formed cross members. The ballast tank is formed from the enclosed frame, giving even disbursement of weight to handle reaction forces of equipped nozzles. The ballast tank, with a 280-gallon capacity, is open to the atmosphere and is conveniently filled via the valve(s) beneath the monitor. Drain(s) on the bottom of the unit make for easy draining when the need arises. Jacks on all four corners allow for deployment in contrasting environments.
Features
5K Foam Educting Nozzle: These 5k monitor units are equipped with a self educting smooth bore nozzle, capable of reaching up to 250’ (76.2m). These units have the greatest expansion at the largest volume on the market, at 12 to 1 expansion ratio! The 3” ball valve on the nozzle of the monitor allows foam eduction through a 3” stinger tube to your foam source.
Highly Efficient Waterway: The trailer inlet manifold can be customized in multiple sizes and connections. The monitor shall be designed with a waterway that minimizes flow, reduces friction loss, and produces a far-reaching stream.
